The Willow Tree Coffee & Kitchen is a partnership of female-led Social Enterprise businesses that focus on helping our community and supporting people to achieve their full potential.
At our Coffee & Kitchen, we serve delicious food and drinks made from fresh, seasonal, and sustainably sourced ingredients. We also offer training in barista skills, hospitality, catering, and making Neapolitan-style pizza. Our founders are parents of adults who are neurodivergent, and understand the challenges people in our community face when it comes to finding jobs, continuing their education, or simply living their best lives.
During the day, The Willow Tree is a comfy place to relax with a freshly brewed coffee and a tasty snack or lunch. It's a spot where customers can take a break while their kids enjoy fun activities or play sports. If you’ve just visited Ashbrooke Therapies or the Gym, you can unwind here afterwards, or simply stop by to enjoy the beautiful views and our great locally roasted coffee. In the evening, we serve Neapolitan-style pizza for a casual dining experience. You can order pizza at the counter and choose to eat at one of our repurposed tables, in the bar, outside on the patio, or take it home with you.
The Willow Tree is a great place for business meetings or catching up on emails without having to go into the city centre. Our lovely space is also available to hire for private events and activities.

Our Social Enterprise Partners:
My Sisters’ Kitchen CIC makes our tasty homemade baked goods and pizza dough from their community kitchen in Hendon. Their baker has faced many challenges in life, including autism, ADHD, and mental health struggles. She started volunteering with them in the spring and, with support, has become a permanent paid staff member. One of our pizza makers was out of education for four years and found a passion for making pizza in the traditional Neapolitan way. Another regular volunteer, Jack, has been with them for over a year and is a dedicated young man you might also know from volunteering at Sunshine Cooperative CIC, The Bunker, and Grace House. Their PizzApprentice project is a 10-week training and employability programme which is being delivered to anyone who is facing barriers to employment of education. Trainees are given real life pizza making opportunities within The Willow Tree. Email jo@mysisterskitchen.org.uk for more information.
Fit Kat Coaching is an experienced personal trainer who offers various fitness, nutrition and menopause services. They’re working on healthy deli and meal prep options to launch in the second phase of our development.
Cracked Bean Roastery is the North East's first Social Enterprise Roastery, providing us with high-quality, locally roasted coffee beans. We sell bags of Cracked Bean Coffee for you to enjoy at home, or you can order directly from their website and pick up your order from us.
